It has been five years since the Oviedo Lions roared to a girls soccer state semifinal, but Ryleigh Holcomb and a stout defense made sure they earned another final four berth on Tuesday night. Holcomb, a senior forward bound for Wofford College in South Carolina, banged in a goal just 2 minutes, 45 seconds into the match and added another one 15 minutes later to give the Lions (18-2) all the scoring they would need in a 2-0 Class 6A, Region 2 final victory against previously unbeaten Seminole Ridge of Palm Beach County on Tuesday night.
