HCA Healthcare Inc. has bought some properties to the south of HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. An entity connected to the Nashville, Tennessee-based, for-profit healthcare system (NYSE: HCA) bought 2.8 acres across six parcels near the northeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and N. Central Boulevard on Feb. 6, according to county documents. Why this matters: A land purchase by a health system often can be to hold onto for the long term, to help set up future development or without a particular use in mind.
